Frequently Asked Questions
- How many
people can the boat carry?
Presently the
vessel is documented to carry up to 12 persons. We are
working with the U.S. Coast Guard to certify the boat so
that we may support 70 or more persons.
- Can I drive
the boat myself?
No, our current registration and insurance
requirements dictate that we provide a licensed Captain
and crew to support your needs. A Captain is
required any time the vessel is moving under its own
power or is not secured to a dock. Serendipity
Hospitality reserves the right to determine the number
of crew required based on your planned events. The
cost for the crew is included in any cruise reservation.
- Does
Serendipity Houseboat provide fuel for our getaway?
No, renters are responsible for purchasing fuel
consumed during their getaway. Fuel consumption can be
as low as five gallons per hour and up to 30 gallons per
hour, depending on the speed the vessel is cruising.
At the end of your journey, we will document the amount
of fuel consumed during your itinerary.
